1461672 2019-06-22 09:19:00 Aah, but I remember the days when anything from Japan was called Jap Crap. Look at Japanese technology and quality now. Equal too or better than most manufacturing countries in the world. China will do the same.

Remeber their lead pencils in the 1930's. Took WW11 to improve their products, Zero was a great plane.

Now that NZ doesn't produce any clothing, footwear etc. lets hope we don't get offside with China, they don't mind millions of their population dying, see WW11 & communist takeover. We would not last long without clothing, but we would have plenty of milkpowder to keep us from starving to death in the meantime.

We still have a Chinese made 6" tv/radio from way back and it's a quality product.

How did we get from tap washers to Chinese 6" radios? Oh yes, I remember, somebody (mentioning no names but we all know who it was) went totally OT and introduced racist xenophobia.
IMHO the tap washer issue is probably exhausted.
