Just got a customers W10 that I have upgraded to 1903, has Windows Live Mail / Gmail and works fine send /receive . Checked and insecure apps was selected. One thing to look at , when your mail opens is it WLM 2011 or WLM 2012 ? ? ? If its 2011 it could be way to old to work. |

Need better info than that, need the full error message, wording and any numbers. IMAP or something could mean anything. Bit like saying its easy to win lotto just pick the right numbers -- ( and we all know how easy that is to do) ;) |

| 1460669 | 2019-05-25 10:14:00 | I'm frustrated with Google in last few days. I log into MS Outlook (Office 365 Home) and now up comes a screen asking me to login to my Gmail Acct - but it is my alternate Gmail acct which I rarely use. Sometimes I just click Esc and can proceed to Outlook. Other times It reuses to let Outlook receive emails (sending is fine). When I log in to Gmail I overwrite the alternate Gmail account and enter my main one . I then get asked to enter my name then get told a 6 digit number will be sent to my email address BUT that Gmail screen stays fixed so I cannot go to my Outlook Inbox to receive the code nrs. There is also 3 paragraphs of deleting all emails etc and reference to MS Apps (in Gmail) . Finally despite going back to Classic Gmail some time ago I get messages duplicated in In box and Primary or Updates. There is no box to untick against Primary. Some people may rail against MS Outlook but I would hate to be entirely reliant on Gmail -I find it so inflexible. |
