1458468 2019-02-23 05:10:00 I have the opposite problem. MPC stuff too soft in some things, too loud with background music. Tried playing around with the stereo settings, but got lost. Just use an old version of VLC now. But then again that PC is still running XP home.
The cheap usb sound card I got is probably the cause of my problems

Youtube uses a Browser ( doesn't matter what OS) , cant tell anyone which Browser they Must use, its a persons choice. I've had problems with FF sometimes so used either Chrome or Edge, then the next video on youtube may play up so use a different browser.

That Picture really means nothing -- What sort of problems ? Where did the media come from ? Were they Pirated ? Whats the Format ?

Trouble with your trolling is like ALWAYS there's never any details.

Most Videos I have will play fine in media player, but I use different because they have more options.

Notice you very conveniently ignored the itunes comment. Oh thats right doesn't work on its own on linux. How sad LOL.

Think its about time to block your Trolling Login.

1458471 2019-02-24 21:00:00 I have a problem on some film and youtube clips. I do have sound but not the main performers. ie, background vocals and music but not the principal. I have the app set for Film and TV.

.

long winded reply

that issue can be caused from the surround sound audio mix.
On 5.1 (etc) sound, the vocals are mixed mostly to the centre channel. If you dont have a centre speaker then the vocals are very low & music & background is too loud in comparison
DVD's etc often have more than 1 audio mix , stereo & 5.1 surround etc

So the playback and/or ripping software may be using wrong audio mix/track . It may be using 5.1 or used 5.1 Left & right .
If so all the vocals from the centre channel will be missing , vocals will be too low in the mix on left & right
Thats actually not uncommon. Ive heard it alot on copied movies . It also used to be a issue on cheapy DVD players
Background music etc louder than the vocals .
