1460886 2019-05-22 02:19:00 Been using it for several weeks already, had no real problems with it.

Its now officially available to the public .

Two ways to get it:

1. As described in the Blog, manually run windows updates blogs.windows.com (blogs.windows.com)

2. Or by the media creation tool, been changed since last night www.microsoft.com

The Blog has some other info like previous versions coming upto end of Service.

1460888 2019-05-22 04:05:00 Wainui, did you have any issues when trying to RDP into a machine with the 1903 update? I have one machine here (an older C2D) which I couldn't RDP into after the update - just got a blank screen. Rolled the update back and it's fine again. Obviously other PCs are OK, it's not every PC, but a bit of an add one. wratterus (105)
1460889 2019-05-22 05:00:00 I keep getting an error message and a Retry button for this:

2019-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4494441) - Error 0x8007065e

Maybe 1903 will fix the problem ..

I sometimes get a black Screen after logging in but its still got the Bar along the top,

The OS going FROM can be an earlier version 1809 / 1903 or going to 1903 or Server2012 / 2016. Usually just close the connection and try again which lets it through. Its almost as if the graphics aren't loading the desktop correctly the 1st time.

1460892 2019-05-22 06:22:00 Bloody marvelous! I copied the 1903 to a thumb drive. Started the install on my Toshiba Laptop - FAILED. Apparently the problem was found in later version and will be fixed at a later time and re-offered to me. Apparently the current install balks at a USB or an SD card(no card installed) so they say forget the upgrade for now. Would have thought that a fundamental like that would have been fixed before release. I'm thinking of trying from a direct install instead of the thumb drive. Bryan (147)

The way to get it working, any one of the following works, done them all on various computers.

*put the ISO on the main C drive, right click it, Mount or Open with, Windows Explorer -- Double click setup.

*Use the online upgrade Now or media Creation tool.

*Burn to DVD.

* Run Via Windows Update.

Haven't had a failure yet, when the USB options does.

1460894 2019-05-22 08:32:00 OK. Pleased to say that by updating directly from the web site the upgrade has worked with my Laptop. Bryan (147)
1460895 2019-05-22 09:50:00 One of the new "features" is the upgraded Search, its laid out a lot better, if you click on search the new options are obvious along the top of the window compared to the previous versions. wainuitech (129)
