1458472 2019-02-22 03:27:00 What I'm after is a cheap, if possible reliable, proximity alarm.
Just want to be able to kow if someone walks passed a point and set alarm/buzzer off.
When I was younger & work for the good old NZ Post Office, we used to make these.
But now I'm unwell and mid 60's and cant even think where to start.:groan:
Thanks for any help.
Ian :)

1458480 2019-02-28 09:29:00 TradeMe - search for motion detector.

Most of the cheap ones are marketed as Driveway motion sensors, but work fine anywhere. They detect infra red (heat), work day or night, and transmit an alert wirelessly to a receiver you can place anywhere (or carry in your pocket if you wish).
The cheapie I got plays a tune, has 2 volume settings, is all battery opperated. I actually use it to alert me to my now senile mother attempting to move off her bed or couch, or on occasions I have it watching the garage entry while I work at the opposite end of the property.
Transmits OK through 3 walls and 20m of space. About $20 new.

Hi Paul. Could you give us the Brand, Type and where you bought it. And the price if you are willing. Thanks. John
