| 1458353 | 2019-02-16 22:05:00 | I recently changed email addresses to my own domain name and so email is coming through a new provider. Am using Mozilla Thunderbird on Windows10. However, along with the emails I want, there is also the regular arrival of blank pages listed as individual files under each address as 'msgFilterRules-1.dat" / 2.dat / 3.dat, etc, etc. I've searched for an explanation online including the Thunderbird help pages and there is information available there but frankly I don't understand what they're talking about. Is there anyone on the forum here who can tell me in a non-technical way (1) are these important to my computer? (2) is there something going on here that affects my email system? (3) do I need to do something in response to these folders? or (4) can I just delete them without concern? I will appreciate your advice, as always. Thanks. |
