| 1189951 | 2011-03-28 06:11:00 | I was literally getting the backup drive ready for a backup the moment it gave me a blue screen, froze, restarted and wont let any accounts login. I need a way to get these backups done and without me having to be bothered clicking a button, cancelling it because something else is more important or the like. The only files I backup, is those required by FireFox (and its profiles) and Thunderbird (emails and settings); everything else IS fine and doesn't require me to backup. So I need information information on a program that can duplicate files/folders, zip up, name it (how I want), store it (where I want), delete it (when I want it too), and automagically do it without me having to say it's okay to do so every single time. Any tips? |

Try mozbackup (mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/) -- this article (http:) explains an auto backup feature. Or you can use something like Fbackup (http://www.fbackup.com/) - you would have to manually select the folders the first time when setting up, but after that it can be fully automated. Its one of the two types of Daily backups I do - never have to touch anything apart from closing the windows once its done.( that can be automated to close as well) |

But you can tell it to close if you want to. I have four set to go between the hours of 8.00pm- 10.00pm to various servers outside. See attachment About the only thing you have to make sure of, is if backing up to a external drive, make sure its attached ( dont laugh) :D -- seen it happen several times , Customers, auto backup set and it wont work, people complain about the program then go OOPS  When asked is the drive plugged in. |
