1189816 2011-03-27 11:42:00 Hi all

Up until recently I've been using Roboform (v6 - paid version) as a Password manager, and it's been great.

But, v6 doesn't seem to work with FF4. And upgrading to v7 of Roboform now has an ongoing cost, USD $20 per year, rather than a one-off like before - without adding many new features.
I don't think they have any plans to upgrade v6 anymore.

So I think it's time to look an an alternative. What are peoples suggestions?
I've even thought about just using the built in Firefox one, but based on past experience it was quite limited, and would lose data when you do a clear cache/temp files in FF.

Bit of looking around in the web also showed some good reviews for S10 Password Vault, but I've never heard of them before. I'm a bit wary trusting passwords to a company I've never heard of before.

I've also heard Keepass is quite good.

So can anyone recommend a good password manager?

For me, what I need is:
- preferably free, but I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for a good one
- no limit on how many passwords and logins can be stored
- be able to login automatically - preferably with java pages as well as normal web pages
- stored securely/encrypted
- ideally, be able to sync between my desktop and notebook
- work with main browsers - FF, IE, preferably Chrome too - although FF and IE are the main ones I use
- compatible with Win 7 64 bit

Thanks in advance!

1189818 2011-03-27 19:54:00 One reason FF doesn't hold your passwords could be if you are using Ccleaner it will remove the cookies unless you select the ones you want and move them to "keep" under options / Cookies. wainuitech (129)

Go to options c-cleaner/cookies and highlight cookies to keep
