| 1189734 | 2011-03-27 03:08:00 | Is this Firefox add-in a THREAT (www.removevirus.org) . Virus Total 2010 is a malicious application related to the notoriously known Security Master AV, and is a similar rogue antivirus program that tries to trick users into purchasing a software license.. or a HELP (www.pcworld.com) The VirusTotal.com Web site a free but invaluable security service. It will scan any Web download, e-mail attachment or other file you send it with 40-odd different antivirus scanners to let you know whether it's safe for your computer. |

| 1189737 | 2011-03-27 07:39:00 | theres a Firefox add-on called Virus-Total-2010 and i'm seeking an opinion on whether its really a malware threat (as the artice in the 1st quoted web-site suggests)or whether its genuinely a helpful tool, as claimed in the 2nd web site article. The opinions in those 2 references are diametrically opposed, so one of them is wrong. |

| 1189739 | 2011-03-27 07:59:00 | VirusTotal.com the website is genuine, but I'd be a but suspicious of Virus Total 2010 the addon. | pcuser42 (130) | ||

| 1189743 | 2011-03-28 03:15:00 | they are 2 totally different things 1. virus-total-2010 .... MALWARE! (as in the pic) gets downloaded on your comp when you visit a dodgy/hacked site etc. 2. The VirusTotal.com ...HELP site that scans files for you to see if they are safe It will scan any Web download, e-mail attachment or other file you send it with 40-odd different antivirus scanners The Uploader tool is optional... that's so you can use it to easily upload a file to check from your comp without going to their website to do so. Neither of these is a ff addon tho - which addon are you refering to? a link to it would be good |
