| 1152222 | 2010-11-12 04:38:00 | I think I'll post it here since now it's working. First how is this Netcomm? www.ascent.co.nz So the story goes. 2 day ago my 3 or 4yr old Linksys didn't work. DSL was blinking. Chorus did something. Yesterday it worked. This morning it didn't work. Chorus came to my house and plugged his D-Link in and all the lights came on. But he couldn't get me to logon. Maybe I put the wrong username - some of the ISPs have v long ones with domains and domains .. He told me to buy another modem, he said D-Link is good. :D I know what you guys think. I went to DSE to get one b/c they had a refund policy. I started the Wizard myself and couldn't get it to work, I did it again with ISPs help - the same. We used the IP Address via a browser and the same. After more than an hour, this brand new modem did a factory reset and now it works. Tried it on the PC and laptop thru wireless and cable. Basically what happened was either it was all green (all ok) or all off or all blinking - the DSL and Internet lights. My Windows 7 both the PC and laptop will say connected but no internet access (even when the DSL and Internet had solid green lights). :dogeye: What the heck is going on. B/c they think it was my faulty modem, we might be expecting a $200 invoice soon  |
