1151591 2010-11-09 04:34:00 I really have very little need of password protection but so many programs insist on a password I have been using Password Agent for years - works fine.

Or it did until today - but it will no longer accept my master password to open - and yes I definitely have the correct master password. I have tried downloading the latest version - updating etc and even copying the same program from my laptop where it is still working fine (with a different master password).
But no matter what I do the darn thing still wants me to use the old master password (the hint on opening the program).

Well I have tried both old and new but no joy.
Any ideas - I do have the passwords from my laptop so could switch to another program.

Good luck.

1151595 2010-11-09 20:30:00 Caps Lock on?

First thing I checked - it was also suggested by the program itself when the password failed.

YES.
Did as you suggested and it worked. I do get a bit fed up with the constant updates that stop me using the computer while they are installed. I reckon there should be some way of storing the darn things and then updating the lot at once.
Anyway many thanks, I am very pleased to be able to access my passwords again - I had better print the darn things out and file them somewhere.

1151597 2010-11-09 22:46:00 There is set windows updates to download but not install until you tell it to, or if you think its a program update turn off auto update for that program. I have several programs such as Ccleaner and burnaware free that have regular updates but since they don't often add anything new I juts go to their sites and do a manual update when I think about it gary67 (56)
