But Corruption is wide spread in the rest of the world and immigrants should know that New Zealand has higher standards and they should not bring those practices in here. And yes they should be deported. This will point out how serious we are about stamping out corruption. Most countires that do well don't have much corruption. |

They are direct descendants of a long line of miserable xenophobes that have plagued NZ from its inception. We have gone through the time of the "Yellow Peril" wherein the Asian hordes were going to come down here and rape all our women and corrupt our (British) way of life. Then there were the Jews, the Dutch, the Japs, the Poms (once the immigrant Poms had been here themselves for enough generations to denigrate new Pommy migrants, that is), the Dalmatians, the Germans, Italians, Poles, Indians etc etc etc. Now we are witnessing the current phobia - we are back to Asians again. Any people who are 'non-British' in origin are tacked on to whatever the current panic is - so if a Brit is corrupt, it is just a crime of corruption - the racial origin of the perpetrator is not mentioned. If it is an Asian, it suddenly becomes banner headlines 'Asian corruption'. Obviously we have got over the anti Dalmatian prejudice, because no-one said 'Dally migrant in court for corruption' when Petricivic was arrested. Have a look at the following to get an idea of the history that these prats are perpetuating all these years on: en.wikipedia.org (this one is a bit extreme) www.nzetc.org www.nzetc.org shows how people were classified as aliens in NZ, and it didn't stop when WWII ended - even war refugees still had to register as aliens and report regularly to the Police, particularly when they changed address. This went on at least into the 1960's. Anybody who is different from the 'norm' is an object of suspicion, mistrust, and prejudice. Probably all cultures do this, but we don't have to perpetuate it the way these prats are. |

They shouldnt be doing any corruption is my argument. If I moved to another country to live I would be a model citizen keep a low profile in fact I did that in Australia.
