| 1189744 | 2011-03-29 09:12:00 | Bevy121 - Many thanks for clearing up my confusion. fortunately, the one i have loaded is the genuine VirusTotal.com. i was about to install a FF add-on called VTzilla - article from this website >> www.mydigitallife.info which includes following quote - "It is always a wiser and better practice to scan a file and double check online whether it is a security threat if you are uncertain of the senders source. To simplify the whole scanning process, Firefox user can actually consider adding in a useful security plugin such as VTzilla to their Firefox. VTzilla is a free Firefox plugin which is designed to expedite and simplify the process of scanning internet resources with VirusTotal, a free virus, malware and URL online scanning service" Note that VTzilla does not run in FF v4 yet. i recently updated to FF v.4 so will have to wait until VTzilla catches up. |
