| 1189570 | 2011-03-27 08:11:00 | It's been a lengthy day in front of the computer! I downloaded the Microsoft anti-spyware tool- not Windows Defender, the other one, but I can't remember its name - and also Malware Bytes . For those who might be interested, the Malware Bytes software detected a couple of nasties: c:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp\HBCD\ProduKey . exe (PUP . PSWTool . ProductKey) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully . c:\Users\John\favorites\qword search engine . url (Adware . QWO) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully . . . . so I hope that's solved my original problem! I'll keep you posted if it doesn't . |

| 1189572 | 2011-03-27 09:02:00 | All the different programs seem to have their strengths and weaknesses. Malwarebytes, Superantispyware and Avast reported my computer clean yet Security Essentials picked up the culprit. Hmm may download some more of the recommended antispyware programs, as a few more rounds to keep the wolves at bay. | PPp (9511) | ||
