Ink will slowly work it's way out over many days. Make sure you do not get water around the circuitry on the back of the print head if possible. I've also found it helpful to drizzle water directly from the tap onto the entry point for each ink - again the water will repeatedly loosen bound/dried inks for ages. Repeat the process on the tiny ouput jets on the underside. Careful use of warm water will liberate even more ink! Once back in the printer it only takes a few cleaning cycles to get colour flowing again (unless you print head is stuffed). If you're looking to dump the machine, I'd be interested in seeing if it would solve the issues with my second printer... assuming you're no further south than Auckland - otherwise the travel / shipping makes the task questionable. |
