What wireless router do you have? EG, I have a Netgear, and the admin is admin and the password is password.

1189046 2011-03-26 04:46:00 As LL suggested, depending on the Router, the user names and passwords may differ.
I have a Netgear as well - and its been changed from the default -- And of course I forgot what they were - finally remembered them in the middle of the night

1189048 2011-03-26 06:38:00 Which also reminds me, I have tried ipconfig on two wireless routers (including my friends) but nothing has returned. Can a wireless router be completely hidden?

Can I then search on the net for the ip address used by specific routers?

Are you sure you are typing ipconfig in the DOS screen and not the Run box
In run you type cmd to get to the DOS screen

1189050 2011-03-26 10:55:00 Thanks Safari, made that mistake before, so yes I did use cmd. Winston001 (3612)
1189051 2011-03-27 07:25:00 The paperclip reset button on my D-Link DI-524 puts everything at factory settings: User = admin, password = blank (don't press enter), wireless encryption = off, SSID = "default", channel = 6

(but paperclips can be hard to find these days)
