| 1189169 | 2011-03-25 00:56:00 | Had this exact problem on monday - damn thing wouldn't install on a customers PC either by updates, or manually :crying Got it in the end though :thumbs: Downlaod and run .netFramework cleanup tool (blogs.msdn.com) - when you run it, from the drop down box, select .net 4 ( no others) see attachment --Remove .netframework 4 - reboot when finished - then download the full package of .net4 full installer From Microsoft (www.microsoft.com) - run it and reinstall .netframwork - after a reboot, try the update again - should install and work. I found out the long way - that if .net framework 4 is damaged in any way SP1 wont install as it requires it. |
