| 1190492 | 2011-03-30 04:05:00 | I'm purchasing a computer for a small business, it will be mainly used for web developement and some photoshop work, but not the real intensive 20gb image manipulation stuff, just cleaning up images and designing patterns. currently they are using an amd 2500+ thats around 8 years old, still does most of what they want but the software they are using is of a similar vintage, and they are looking to update that as well, in testing it works okayish on the amd 2500+ but is sluggish and freezes ocasionally. customisation of this base model (www.playtech.co.nz) ends up as $1278 Antec Three Hundred Gaming ATX Case Black Intel Core i5 2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz 6MB Cache Quad-Core Processor Stock Intel CPU Cooler NEW!!! | 1190501 | 2011-03-31 01:25:00 | Bugger, i had a huge reply written but fogot to hit post, wondered why no one got back to me and i just refreshed the page and lost it The case, I would go beige if i could, but as i need prebuilt this system came out as the best bang for buck. mind you the case appears to be only $20 dearer than their cheapest one of the same size Similar systems at the other suppliers seem to be a couple of hundred dearer or use i3 (i5 just seems better valuewise, obviously dearer), or the power supply is 400w which seems marginal for the cpu and hard drives, although i am currently combing through computer lounges forum for the custom builds to see if there is one closer to what i want. |
