| 1190431 | 2011-03-30 00:46:00 | Existing system is Intel E6600 with xp. I want to create a dual boot system with xp & Win 7. I have created a new 30gb partition and intend to load Win 7 Home 64 into it. This seems easy enough but do I have to do anything to the MBR to get the dual boot screen, or will the boot screen install automatically when I install the Win 7. Thanks in advance. Arjay |

If you meant simply to make changes then yeah, EasyBCD will let you edit the boot menu. I like to tidy up the names and shorten the time to default boot as it is way too long. None of this is needed though. |

Doesn't really matter though, if anything gest mucked up chances are you'll be able to boot into one or other of the OSs, and either fix the boot.ini file or install EasyBCD and use that. There's not a lot than can go wrong. | wratterus (105) | ||
