| 1191035 | 2011-04-01 21:58:00 | Hmmmmmm Something is prompting it , only if you want speedy ( & if he will) or myself may need to connect through Team Viewer and see if theres anything you may have missed by mistake. I couldn't do it till later - got a tree to pull out. :D Anyway -- Look at the attachment - when you connect a W7 Computer to ANY LAN for the first time you will get that window - What did you do when it appeared on all/any of the W7 Machines ? This is where I simply cancel it. ?? ( thats home group setup) |

| 1191037 | 2011-04-01 22:11:00 | What I would do, leave the homegroup on all W7 computers, then reboot them. See if it fixes the sharing problem. The homegroup wont work on previous versions of windows so its not much cop for older OS's. Just a useless point of interest :D -- homegroup is turned on somewhere the message says - media streaming , sharing etc all works fine without it. I will back in the afternoon, need to save my vege garden, get some drugs :p Like wise - SWMBO is saying is that bloody tree staying or what -- my drugs are at dinner time :stare: |

| 1191038 | 2011-04-01 22:22:00 | Will try rebooting. I have checked it on the other, it has left it, it has an option to join it. Same as the above pix. Now another pix at login.... says wrong credentials. I am using the same login names but diff passwords on the PC and laptop. |

| 1191039 | 2011-04-01 23:02:00 | Just a quick thought - The names of the computers - Not the same are they ? What is the X61T ? I noticed it says Ray-PC - you cant have two or more PC's with the Same name on the same LAN, they will clash and cause all sorts of problems. |

I don't mind at all .. login screens just feels more corporate-ish :D The desktop is Ray-PC, the laptop is X61T. X61T is the model of the Thinkpad laptop I have - how ingenious ... All computers are with the HOME workgroup. |
