Do you get any error messages or does the machine just refuse to even turn on? |

I have just got my laptop back from Harvey Norman Monday morning had a new hard drive & motherboard fitted. They have reformatted and put Win 7 64bit. I had 32 bit before I wasn't given a choice! 64bit won't recognize my Sony Eric K750i now is it best to go 32 or 64 ? |

If 64 bit won't work for you, then 32 bit is better. ;)
Make sure you've backed up any data, then power the notebook off. Hold down the '0' key (next to backspace, not on the number pad) and the power the notebook on. Stop pressing the 0 key only when the initial POST screen has gone. The notebook should boot into the recovery manager, and you can re-image it in 32 bit. |
