1152875 2010-11-15 22:55:00 My main machines have Enermax and my other PC has a Corsair. The Enermax PSUs are great but the Corsair has OST capacitors which probably won't last as long. Still, it's a well built PSU and when the capacitors do fail I'll probably just replace them with something decent like Panasonic or Rubycon

I don't like Antec too much. Too many stories of hideously bad capacitors (Fuhjyyu) and other things. Some of their PSUs are very good but you have to make sure you get the right one. (www.jonnyguru.com and similar are very good for finding out which ones!)

Thermaltake are OK but not great. Ripple is higher than it could be, and most of them are overrated.

1152876 2010-11-15 23:11:00 I'm guilty of buying a cheap generic PSU that came with the case. So far no probs (touch wood) SoniKalien (792)

Laptop - I prefer Thinkpad Lenovo. Not tried Netbooks but purely for its size may switch in future. Lenovo is reliable as, all used, it's my 4th out of total of 5.

I use one at work. Hate it.

Why do Lenovo have their own keyboard design with the Fn key to the left of the Ctrl key. Every other laptop manufacturer has the Fn key to the right of the Ctrl key. :illogical

It's a real PITA trying to paste an object using the Ctrl+C option - most likely you have "copied" it using Fn+C and are trying to paste using Fn+V - not very successfully... :angry :groan:

1152882 2010-11-16 00:01:00 I have a 650W Hyena :clap
After running a dummy load for a few months it was tried in this PC, it has run 18 months without a blemish on it's character so far to my initial surprise. Perhaps their early efforts told them a lot about what is unreliable and doesn't warrant using again?
