| 1190281 | 2011-03-30 00:08:00 | Well, I made a mini-image of my BF1942 CD so I can avoid wear on my disc when playing (also it's more convenient) Probably somewhere in the EULA it says that's illegal, but stuff them, I paid for the game, I'll do what I like. If the disc did end up destroyed somehow and they refused to replace it, I would have no problem downloading a replacement either, it's the CD-Key which really matters, and I already paid for that. |

| 1190282 | 2011-03-30 04:50:00 | okay to some of you i 'had' the disc and had the program on my computer already installed. the disc is no longer working and i need the disc to play the game so i figured that i could use the no cd patch to fix this problem. i figure that if it's paid for why the heck can't i use it. i shouldn't have to go through the hassle of trying to get a new disc or go to the company and try getting a new one or trying to get an activation code online to re-download it. also my computer crashed awhile ago and the file is now corrupted and i can't use the original disc as i stated before that it is no longer working. and sorry if i didn't explain this well enough and state the entire story in specific details. sorry that im a little forgetful since i've been up nearly two days and usually get about a days worth of sleep in an ENTIRE WEEK! once again you shouldn't judge someone before you know the whole story. ask questions before you start to accuse. and to you pctek whoever the hell you are stop posting on this thread if you don't like it. im not gonna judge you since i don't know you, but you sound like a bit of a douche bag. sounds like you just start things with other people and accuse them of things before you really know whats going on because you have nothing better to do with your life. so how bout you and your sad lonely pathetic little self f off and get a life okay? okay thanks. | lankenjl (16306) | ||

Why don't you go read the forum rules before mouthing off. yes i know i started two threads. i was only asking about downloading it because my disc stopped working. i was only trying to get the original working again. nothing was leading to downloading illegally because i had the game myself but like i've said multiple times it stopped working and the game file corrupted when my computer crashed. it's not illegal when you have the game and have paid to have the game. a lot of the downloads out there are for backups in situations like this. and yes i realize that a lot of people use these downloads and then use the fixes and patches to get the entire game for free BUT some people have actually paid for the game and may just want to use the no cd fix so they don't have to have the original cd in all the time or some people use them because their original may have been ruined and cannot get another copy. and btw i did read the forum rules. i know piracy is illegal and thats why im not doing it. im not asking how to illegally obtain the game and dowload it. why would i post up questions about getting games illegally on a well known site. there was nothing wrong with my threads because i am not asking for help with illegal things i was only asking for help on how to fix my game problem. and back to the forum rules. the only thing i may have broken in the forum rules is the language part of it. i may have stepped over the boundary on that and for that i will apologize, but you still have no right to accuse me of things when you don't know the whole story. just because many people out there pirate games, movies, software,etc... does not mean everyone does so you don't need to go accusing everyone of pirating whenever they have a question about downloading something. |
