| 1190215 | 2011-04-02 05:25:00 | sorry about not using enter more often and breaking these up into paragraphs and using punctuation, but in my defense at the time i was writing these i had been up for almot a day and half with only a few hours of sleep prior to that. before today i had gone three days with only around fifteen hours of sleep or less. Now to the other posts, i only paid around 350 for this laptop i think and i think it's worth what i paid for. Not much of anything, but it get's the job done for the most part. I'm not to fond of this starter version only because it does have it's limitations, but that's what i'm going to get for the price of it. To have better your gonna have to pay more. I can deal with not being able to change the background i was only asking about changing it because i felt kind of stupid for not being able to figure it out. I don't feel so stupid now that i know i can't change it unless i download a program. (i think i have enough programs downloaded. this thing can't hold a lot before it starts to get really slow). And i'm not going to pay any money to upgrade right now when who knows how long this laptop is going to last. these cheap little ones don't tend to last very long. |

But I would certainly suggest you give some kind of Linux a try, you can certainly change the wallpaper and you may be pleasantly surprised what else you can do... and it's free so no worries there ;) |

| 1190217 | 2011-04-02 08:15:00 | Im pretty careful with my laptop. it's a small one so i try to be gentle with it. it just overheats to easily and i've seen reviews on this model and everyone has had problems with overheating. i need a cooling pad for it. Is linux a downloadable program? i've never heard of linux before really. i've seen it talked about on forums before, but never heard much about it. | lankenjl (16306) | ||
| 1190218 | 2011-04-02 08:23:00 | Linux isn't a program, its a whole operating system. Suggest you download and run a LiveCD of Ubuntu on a standard desktop computer if you want to have a play around and see what you think of it. | Agent_24 (57) | ||
| 1190219 | 2011-04-02 08:30:00 | ill definitely check it out when i get the chance. whats the performance like on it? Or in your opinion how much better is it than normal windows operating systems | lankenjl (16306) | ||

If they do not undergo major physical trauma (coffee spill, accidental drop etc.), then they can last you for quite some time. And please use the return key more often. |

Or in your opinion how much better is it than normal windows operating systems I suggest that you look at previous posts on how to change the wallpaper. If you can do it, then move on to "How to change the OS on your netbook". |
