1190082 2011-03-29 05:27:00 So what is different in my Win7 environment that makes this work differently between Opera 10 and Opera 11?As I reported earlier your menu works fine here in Opera v11.01 - Windows 7 x64 SP1. Scubadoo (16151)
1190083 2011-03-29 06:02:00 Looks fine in Opera 11.10 beta paulw (1826)
1190084 2011-03-29 06:59:00 The menu is too large for the page in my Opera 11. Some text is misplaced in IE9, looks best in FF3.6.16

Try adding <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
<html xmlns="www.w3.org

to the top of the page replacing the existing <DOCTYPE>

1190085 2011-03-29 08:40:00 I've got Opera 11.01 and get the broken view. (now there's 2 of us, we know we are not crazy-lets start a cult)!! Also I have difficulty enlarging images submitted, just becomes semi-transparent black. probably a setting somewhere. PPp (9511)
1190086 2011-03-29 08:56:00 Clicking on Tools, Advanced, Error Console may be of interest! PPp (9511)
1190087 2011-03-29 09:41:00 I think I've solved it. It is Opera Turbo. If it is enabled, I get the problem. Same with Vista, but not on XP for some reason.

It would be interesting to see if anyone else can turn it on and off like that. Two images attached - good page and bad page.

PPP - I'm glad you found it too - as you say, I'm not totally crazy! I had a look at the error console. I think the only significant one is the very last one - not that I understand what it means.

Interesting that the Firefox Web Developer tools console doesn't pick up those errors - but a bunch of other warnings that are HTML5/Webkit related, I think.

I can confirm that Opera v11.01 Turbo mode after a cache flush is the culprit here.

Results even on this page are not optimum. First load takes 3 or 4 times longer. Quicker after refresh.

Horrible and now turned off - Permanently.

1190089 2011-03-29 10:16:00 My Opera turbo is OFF. Still wraps the menu.
Seems like a style problem.

I had a similar prob a little while ago where the font size would be Ok in IE8 but different in Chrome and Opera. This displaced the graphics or went over or under them. Turned out to be that only IE recognised 'font-size: 12pt but all recognised 16px in the style sheets and produced the same display.

1190090 2011-03-29 19:21:00 Mzee, could you post a screenshot? The site is set up for 1024 x 768 resolution - what is yours? Tony (4941)
1190091 2011-03-29 21:07:00 I quickly discovered that the Opera cache folder MUST be cleared for any test to be valid. Scubadoo (16151)
