Either way, will probably end up going with MYOB - need to discuss with my fellow directors first... |

| 1152706 | 2010-11-15 03:49:00 | It would be nice to support a New Zealand written program ! Zero was written as an online program from the start. Years ago I used to sell accounting software. As a dealer I often used to get brochures and information from new accounting software companies. They all started off saying the software was great and was written in New Zealand for New Zealanders. This used to make laugh. As if it was written for Zimbabweans ! There is not much difference in accounting methods nowadays. except that we in New Zealand send invoices payable on the 20th of the following month, whereas I think in the USA they send an invoice payable in 30 days from the date of invoice. Also I think there are differences in the ways some debtors systems roll over at the end of the month. |

If they ever go out of business or they are hacked, or their servers corrupted, you could lose data. I would read their terms, as I believe they mention in the terms that they are not liable for any lost data, even though they are the ones that store it. I would trust my own backup systems over any companies. Personally I prefer offline systems, that you don't have to be connected to the net to use them. Regarding those two sytems, I think xero has far more features, as it has been around a lot longer than myobs online system. |
