1153841 2010-11-17 07:17:00 Anyone use predictive texting?

I've started using it but get frustrated when it wrongly guesses what word I want to use. As the manual doesn't give any information about predictive texting can someone tell me if there is a quick and easy way to make corrections without having to revert back to non-predictive texting for that word/s?

It's a Nokia 3120 phone, if that makes any difference.

1153842 2010-11-17 07:20:00 usually pressing the star button on Nokia's scrolls through the words available, once that is exhausted it gives the option to spell the word gary67 (56)

1153844 2010-11-17 07:25:00 Cool all nokias are the same, which is one of the reasons I have had so many of them gary67 (56)
1153845 2010-11-17 07:29:00 The three Nokias that I used/use are all quite different in their functions and methods of texting so I must check to see if this feature is the same. Hopefully it is. FoxyMX (5)
1153846 2010-11-17 07:56:00 Usually Nokias have the option to add words to the dictionary too, should you want them in there.

I've never needed to though.

1153847 2010-11-17 08:25:00 In my Ericsson (W508a) predictive is pretty good, it will drop down a list of available words so you can scroll through them or continue to spell. if i need to spell a non dictionary word that I don't want to add to the dictionary i can just spell it out by selecting the letters.

Dunno about other phones but a samsung on XT that I used was just plain piggy

Yes, I found that and it has been handy but it's a bit of a mission to get to it and it didn't really solve my problem, hence my query for a simpler method of choosing the correct word .

For instance when I wanted to use 'sick' it would put up 'pick' and I couldn't figure out how to get 'sick' .

1153850 2010-11-17 09:12:00 Funny how you get used to things - my Galaxy S has Swype, which is so intuitive I wonder how I ever lived without it - I remember thinking the same thing about predictive. nofam (9009)
