| 1192149 | 2011-04-05 08:47:00 | Hi all. I just recently tried copying files to my server which is having issues at the moment, so pretty much nothing got copied over apart from same file names but only with the size of something like 300kb for a video file. (I cancelled the transfer half way through because it was taking forever) My question isn't to do with the server but after I tried moving the files, the amount of space used on the hard drive I'm moving from seems to be the same. I checked the properties of everything visible (even with hidden folders visible) and it only came up with 700gigs rather then the 1TB that is shown in My Computer. I'm wondering if its possible to recover this possibly missing data. Thanks. |

Although the recycle bin should never have been involved in the process and was not configured to have the capacity for all these files, my many GB of freed space were not shown until I emptied the bin. Worth a crack even if it's not your issue. |

I did manage to find that the files I transferred moved to the failing hard drive on my server which hopefully Ill manage to recover. Sorry for wasting peoples time. I feel stupid right now... |
