1192019 2011-04-05 02:13:00 Sadly I think it only works to upgrade Vista - no use to those of us who didn't get sucked in, and stayed with XP Pro. :crying John H (8)
1192020 2011-04-05 02:34:00 Appears to me you can use this pack to upgrade from XP to 7, although it is a fresh install...I dont see anywhere it states only Vista to 7!! SolMiester (139)

There is a way to upgrade using the upgrade when you don't have something to upgrade from.;)

1192024 2011-04-05 03:52:00 sounds dodgy.

My upgrade version of Vista had to be run from within windows, did not work if you booted of the CD. You could however do a clean install then remove the old OS.

If you boot from the DVD, Windows 7 checks for a previous install of Windows before formatting, so a clean install will activate if you were previously using XP or Vista :)
