| 1191940 | 2011-04-04 10:01:00 | Was sitting on sofa watching Top Chef when LT battery started smoking! Ripped it out before any damage was done (phew). Question is, where can I find new one? PS: I want preferably an original one cheap. PPS: IBM T43. I also want user feedback on what dealers are good |

| 1191942 | 2011-04-04 11:14:00 | Hmm. I don't know really as my warranty may be void (LT 5 years old). It only held 30 min of charge so it was long overdue. I don't know if this will affect it but I took the cells out of the casing as I wanted the case of the battery to protect the bare contacts. | bot (15449) | ||
| 1191943 | 2011-04-04 11:15:00 | It has also had a Win7 install and a new HD in it as well. OK, it now comes up saying "The battery bar code format is not recognized". BTW, I got this second hand |

Between, I got a new original battery for my X61T which I bought the used laptop the battery didn't hold a charge .... Even off-brands are not that cheap in NZ min of $90 depending on your laptop model I guess ..... |
