1191596 2011-04-03 03:03:00 Hi
I have an Apacer AU840 2G mp3 player.
On the hard drive is a folder with an empty file within which I have been unable to delete/remove.
I have thought about reformatting the drive to remedy this.
The question is, if I do a reformat of the drive would I loose the Apacer operation system?
The Apacer operation system does not show up on the hard drive, maybe its on the flash drive and will not be effected by a hard drive reformat

1191597 2011-04-03 04:22:00 Look on the Apacer site. See if the programs are there. If you format it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1191598 2011-04-03 04:44:00 no. in general the OS for mp3/4 players is hidden/flash memory partition. Unless it's an ipod. Formating screws up ipods (sometimes).

Check their website first anyway.

The result was fine. The Apacer O.S. files were not affected

Thanks for all of your help
