1191580 2011-04-03 02:53:00 Hi fourm,

Can u shed any light on this problem? When I play games such as Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 it freezes- eg when i leave it running overnight, i would come back the next day to find the computer completely frozen. At other times, it could freeze temporarily while playing. Also World in Conflict: Soviet Assault will crash after about 5 minutes :badpc:

Surprisingly, Civ 5 and C&C3 do not freeze or crash at all!

System Specs:

1191582 2011-04-03 05:05:00 Is it a new PC thats done this from the start? Has it been stable for years & this has just started? Any recent changes? Temperatures? inphinity (7274)
1191583 2011-04-03 07:10:00 Sorry, the mobo is a Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H

I only just got this in Feb- a home build, the only way i could get the BEST value system

1191584 2011-04-03 07:13:00 Temps have been normal. 2 of the 4 external fans stopped working and temps increased minimally. it started freezing about 2 weeks after loss of fans. clwsham (16313)
1191585 2011-04-03 07:20:00 Looks like it does have a prob with freezing (forum.giga-byte.co.uk) with certain ram. And here (www.mushkingames.com) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1191586 2011-04-03 07:36:00 The system does not freeze at start up but i do still think that it may be the RAM- ValueRam does sound dodgy clwsham (16313)
1191587 2011-04-03 07:46:00 Step son is having similar problems using value Ram but can't afford to change it yet, that's on an ASUS mobo though gary67 (56)
1191588 2011-04-03 22:39:00 Check the RAM voltages, incompatible RAM doesnt get correct voltage via BIOS and needs to be set correctly..Check the RAM dimms for modules number and check the website! SolMiester (139)
1191589 2011-04-03 22:58:00 Did you unlock the Phenom yourself? These things were locked for a reason, some cores aren't stable enough without adequate voltage or they are just too defective to be enabled. qazwsxokmijn (102)
