| 1154507 | 2010-11-19 04:30:00 | www.stuff.co.nz Not all that surprised, as the amount of old bangers on the road has skyrocketed since the quake. As for CBS, well, that's what they get for buying crappy zhong tong's. I've been in one (only me and the driver) when the brakes promptly locked solid in the exchange. Spent the next few minutes mucking around and waiting - turns out its a common problem, they 'fix' it by turning off the engine, maybe letting some air out, then restarting. Hmm, 'safe'... Wonder if they tested any party busses - now there's a ripe target. |

| 1154510 | 2010-11-19 06:46:00 | Don't worry about results in the real world we'll just stick with the crazy unverified theories fed to us by american nut-cases, and embraced by the equivalent nut-cases here with an agenda, ie dollars in their back pocket and zealotry to propagate and power trip as a bonus. | zqwerty (97) | ||

First COF it went in for it failed:eek: Driver headrest had insufficant padding should the air bag deploy :annoyed: There are a lot of Old Buses on the road in New Zealand along with Old cars and then there are a lot of well maintained older buses, cars etc on the roads. The cost of upgrading literally is beyond belief and economic suicide for many small operators to do so. The result of just forcing a vehicle especially a bus off the road because it is more than a certain age is expensive and you as users end up paying. |
