Coz that's the *right* way of doing it, and I'm awesome ;) If you're not doing that, I'd suggest that it's better to have the content begin on the very left (As it does now), rather than having an Ad on the left-hand side and the text starting in the middle of the screen going all the way to the very right. No matter what though, the forum is going to be one-sided, but would you prefer they had an Ad down both sides to balance it out? :thumbs: Again, I'm not saying I particularly enjoy having Ads on either side, but honestly it's not the end of the world, people having such a cry over what is realistically nothing. Kids around the world are dying of starvation and here we're kicking up a fuss because the Ads are now on the right instead of the left. Awesome stuff... |

These changes were made as part of stage 1 release of new PC World site. There are several more changes in next 3 weeks for PC World site & there are considerable changes yet to come for Press F1. Please bear with us during this time & I do have many plans underway to recognise / reward our loyal forum members. PC World & Press F1 are taking a new direction which will hopefully give alot of you more opportunity to contribute across both sites. Further details later as this is a work in progress. The new banner appears to be fine with most people, just the ads and where they are located. Maybe a smaller/ thinner portion of the ads on the right would be OK, one column not two, currently they " take over" Not every one uses scripts to block them - many visitors certainly wont. Lets wait and see what they come up with when its "finished". |
