1191769 2011-04-06 01:46:00 True, but I wasn't going to get too pedantic when it's clear they don't know what they're on about ;)

1191770 2011-04-06 02:32:00 Don't see how that could be, or even if it could be policed. My computer is for business, and my brother in law has a home office. MSE isn't that smart!

Cheers

It's a breach of the license agreement.

EDIT: I lie, its good for up to 10 PC's in a small business, bigger than that you have to use forefront.

Good to know, thanks!! The EULA (www.microsoft.com) under Installation and Use Rights.

If individuals are using it, and belong to senior Net, then theres no problem at all.

1191774 2011-04-06 03:57:00 Hi pctek..... re:Time for a new tech.

Depends on the status of the tech.....
In the seniornet of which I am a member... the so-called tech-team consists of 4-5 good-hearted blokes who, like most seniornet peoples are in the organisation to help other oldies by sharing their knowledge. No rules, no exams to join, no other people to appoint you - just come along when the tech-team meet or are making a change and offer whatever help you can. (Similar to the tutors.) This group care for ten PC's and two Macs. The PC's run Windows7 with Vista and XP just a click away. They occasionally have to seek paid help from our local very good and obliging professional on the main street.

Always time for a new tech in our club - but to join the team.

1191775 2011-04-06 04:03:00 I think people are going to target Norton before others since that's probably the most common Agent_24 (57)

Surely this is about good ethics not whether or not it can or could be policed!
