Living on the northern edge of Auckland I suffered since 8 years (!) a miserable broadbandspeed of 30-50 Kbps. I kept alerting paradise (Telstra) as the speed kept dropping. They kept running me through disconnecting all the filters 100 times etc etc and ind the end blamed Telecom for the poor copper lines in our area. Nothing they could do. Then I was sick and tired of it and went with nznet.co.Nz. Guess what? Connected to them and surged straight to 2 Mbps. Now who can explain why Telstra could not do that? They use the same exchange and same copper wires. Shame on Telstra. And shame on me for remaining with that club for so long. |
