2010-11-23 00:27:00 | I'm currently on vodafone's red network ultimate plan, giving me 13 mbps with a 30gb cap for $90 a month (with phone). I'm shifting in the next two weeks though, so I need a new isp and want to get it sorted out now, because last time we shifted, we had to wait about two weeks before vodafone got around to hooking up our net because the last tennants had no phone number, which made life difficult for everyone. However this time I don't want to go onto a contract if possible. I looked at orcon but some of their plans looked a little more expensive, and we're shifting up a rent bracket so I need costs down. I don't mind losing a few gb (maybe down to 25, 20 MIN) if necessary. Oh and good customer service isn't terribly necessary.. as long as their service works. TL DR; I need a new ISP with no contract for around equal to vodafone's 30gb + phone plan for $90 a month.

2010-11-23 00:56:00 | Why not just stick with Voda? Telecom doesn't require a contract. Realistically I wouldn't go with anybody but: Telecom, Vodafone, Orcon ...but that's just me personally ;)

2010-11-23 02:44:00 | Why not just stick with Voda? Hah. I gave them 3 weeks notice and 2 days after I'd moved in they still couldn't give me an ETA>

2010-11-23 07:27:00 | Does that include phoneline though, error guy? I do like the sound of orcon tbh. I would stick with vodafone but I'm not sure if they do non contract plans, at least not without extra costs. When I shifted I simply added another year contract to my account because we signed a year lease, and they removed the shifting fees. The latest house is not on a fixed lease, so I don't want to get onto a fixed term contract either, just in case.

Instead, lets all go with NZNet: pressf1.co.nz Or Vodafone / TelstraClear who are known to have constant issues with their Email and terrible wait times on their helpdesk which gets you nowhere. :banana |
