1193062 2011-04-09 01:56:00 ok so i got broadband . . . . . . . . . pages used to load real fast . . . . . . . . . . . now they still take up to over 1 min . . . . . . .

multi tabs open, opera, xp, ZA, Avast .
Kids use for online flash games and facebook, no probs ive seen with bugs etc . . . . . .

i dont know how to ping, we not using our limit so not capped, new start date is 1st of the month . . . . . ive defragged, and cleared and deleted and get frustrated at the speed . . . . dial up was faster . . . . :(

was good, but good things end it seems . :p

ideas please, ill get back to this later, life is calling . . . . . .

get mous / tea timer a lot or says opera not responding at times . . . . . . . . the kids use IE, for the games and facebook . or opera for the rest .

help .

open a command prompt (Click Start - choose RUN, type cmd, press ok)
Type ping www . google . com (for example)

Also do a tracrt . tracert www . google . com

Also try both with the actual IP address instead of the website name (the ip will be shown after you do it with the name) .

Do a speed test too - bet it isn't as slow as dialup .

1193065 2011-04-09 05:13:00 ok, dont know how to do a speed test di those other things but am not sure what any of it means . . . . . . . . that appears to go faster than anything else . . . lol

and yeah i know it wont be slower than dial up but it seems to clog up a lot . . . . . .

what do i do with those tests? and how do i show then to you? or is there info on them i shouldnt pass on?
oh and i didnt mean tea timer, got muddle . . . . . . the curser timer i was meaning . . . .

1193070 2011-04-09 06:46:00 well with 8.31 Mb downspeed, there's certainly nothing wrong with the connection.

and even quarter that d/load speed wouldn't make the page take a minute or more to load.

You may find one or both are scanning web pages before allowing to load fully.
