1192686 2011-04-07 06:04:00 I think it is great but then I am biased since I am a Linux user of many years and currently a Ubuntu user. It is good because of the thought put in to making efficient use of the small netbook screen. johnd (85)
1192687 2011-04-07 06:32:00 The new Unity UI in 11.04 is actually quite slick, regardless of it being for netbooks or not.

There was also several script you could run on Ubuntu back in the day that made the UI a whole lot better for the smaller screen resolution of Netbooks like the EeePC 700 & 900-series.

Seriously though, I'm a fan of Ubuntu. It's great for the Desktop / Laptop where I wouldn't run Gentoo. However, you may also want to consider looking in to Mint which is based off Ubuntu, as it comes with a few other nice things out-of-the-box. Still, for a Netbook, you can't really go wrong. You haven't really got anything to lose by downloading it and trying it, do you? ;)
