1192642 2011-04-06 23:17:00 I am using WS_FTP95 LE to transfer files to my host website. I get an indication that the updated file has been transferred but when I load the webpage, nothing has been changed.
I have cleared my Firefox cache in case the old pages are still there.
Anyone any suggestions.

1192643 2011-04-07 00:59:00 Check and make sure that the casing (Upper vs lowercase) is correct.

You can also try deleting (Or rename) the destination file, reload the page on your browser, make sure it *is* missing, then re-upload.

1192644 2011-04-07 03:19:00 Hi Chilling_Science

I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say to check the casing (upper or lower) or that I should rename or delete the destination file.

The website (destination file) is an existing functional site (www.foreststay.com) that I was trying to update.

I have changed the computer files (pages) using Dreamweaver 4 and use these as the pages that I want to transfer to update the website. The details changed are only minor.

The pages to be updated already exist on the website and have the same names as the computer files. I haven't had to delete these in the past. The transfer usually changes/updates them.

Cheers

1192645 2011-04-07 03:57:00 Why not use Dreamweaver 4's built-in functionality to edit "directly on the server" instead? Chilling_Silence (9)
1192646 2011-04-07 04:20:00 Thanks for the suggestion. I could try that.

I guess I'll have to do a bit of research. Do you know any suitable tutorials?

Cheers

1192647 2011-04-07 05:29:00 No sorry, all I did was enter in the server details to DW4 and the rest "just worked" :) Chilling_Silence (9)
1192648 2011-04-07 11:46:00 Shift + Refresh did not do the trick? Renmoo (66)
1192649 2011-04-07 12:13:00 Make sure that FTP client is set at 'passive transfer', also that the file names are the same case as in the menu, Linux server is case sensitive, Windows is not.

Does your home page 'index.html' display Ok?
