if you change your plan or if you blew the data cap - once you get to your new billing cycle - it updates automatically without a restart. :D

1156486 2010-11-30 10:05:00 I turn mine off overnight, if your computer is off there's not much reason to leave the router on as well.

I think with Telecom they have made SSL compulsory for email, so you'll probably just have to turn Avast!'s email scanning off.

1156487 2010-12-01 23:49:00 Ok have not yet been able to go get a new cable, but have noticed when using the phone, you can hardly hear the people on the other end unless you turn the wireless machine off........... is this because i dont have the correct cable ? or is it something else?
the phone rings fine, but the sound is awful.

thanks

Are you using a cordless phone could be interference if you have a 2.4Ghz style cordless phone and modem router.

Try to go into the setup of the modem router and change the channel and see if that improves.

I vaguely recall that some of the newer cordless phones now are not 2.4Ghz maybe 5.8Ghz one of the reasons was this interference with PC equipment. Hope you don't need a new phone as well :( What an investment.

1156491 2010-12-02 00:14:00 Make sure you have filters on all your phones.

Didn't you say you were using a jackpoint that was dodgy before? maybe you should get a telecom tech to have a look at it...?

1156492 2010-12-02 04:57:00 Ok all filters on going jack points, dodgy jack point not in use, was unable to get cable today, and have disconnected phone i was using on the same line, and having major issues with email, we thought we werent online cos no email has been working, but open the browser and its all go...... this is frustrating......

i bought a extra filter today, but was unable to find cable before 5pm. so tomorow. or saturday will do........ emails can wait i guess........
i did managed to view them at work today, and there wasnt anything major.

but life isnt meant to be simple, we have to learn something every step of the way im beginning to think....

oh and the yell of delight last nite from the boy when he open up and loaded a game and it was done in seconds was captivating....:p
