Even then, you MAY get it replaced with another of the same model, however if you argue that it's not just that one particular item but all of that model, then you could be in luck.

1193261 2011-04-10 13:58:00 I'm sure I've got the receipt somewhere, I mean I have the original box and everything.

If they replace it, fair enough. But the one I've got has been acting up quite consistently all day. In the past 6 hours it's cut out more than 6 times. It normally does it every so often, but the past week or so it's been ridiculous. Even when I point a fan at it, it cuts out sometimes.

In any case, I'll check my desk for the receipt tomorrow morning. For now, I'm going to bed.

1193262 2011-04-10 22:30:00 What cuts out? The actual router or your connection?

Login to the routers WebUI and post your SNR / Noise Margin / Attenuation / ADSL Sync speed etc.

1193263 2011-04-10 22:48:00 Belkin do have pretty good after sales support and a lifetime warranty so if you can't find the original receipt you could always call Belkin.
They will most likely just send you a new one which you could then sell.

As long as they send you the right one :) Last time I helped someone replace a Belkin ADSL router Belkin exchanged it with a Belkin wireless broadband router (ie no adsl :waughh:) not that it mattered as I had already replaced it with a Draytek by then.

1193266 2011-04-10 23:35:00 Well I found it. Invoice was in the box. I do get the feeling though that they might be a bit more likely to ***** than usual, since the belkin was an exchange for an SMC that also kept crashing and overheating. Although I'm still well within a year for either of them. 8ftmetalhaed (14526)
1193267 2011-04-10 23:41:00 Unfortunately it happens with a lot of routers under even a little bit of load from things like torrents etc.
Anyway, provided you're nice when you go back to them, the guys there are usually relatively reasonable, and if you've got your original invoice then half the battle is won already :)

Good luck!
