Help! Somehow I have acquired My Fast Web Search as a homepage and I just can't get rid of it! I can change the homepage to my original one, but only temporarily ... as soon as I restart the computer, My Fast Web Search reappears  Has anyone got any ideas as to how to get rid of it? I would be eternally grateful! We are using Windows Vista. Thanks. |

Disable system restore. Get malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.org) update it then do a full scan |

It may help if you said what browser you are using as well.
If IE9 then click Tools > Internet Options > and use current when you are at your desired home page. |

Thanks ... really appreciate your replies. Snorkbox - you may laugh at this, but I have no idea how to figure out which browser I'm using! Speedy Gonzales - how do I 'disable system restore'? And bevy121 - I clicked on the link you gave me, but after downloading something, just a black screen appeared with nothing on it! Sorry ... I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to computers :dogeye: |

Press the windows key and the pause key. So you're on the system window. Advanced settings / system protection |

If you don't know what folder your downloads usualy go to, do a search on your C: for removefastwebhomepage and double click it - close any open browsers first and then reboot after double clicking the removefastwebhomepage executable file to run it |
