1193905 2011-04-13 02:41:00 I have an Asus N20A running Vista Home Premium (yes I know). Recently my speakers stopped working which wasn't so much of a problem as the sound was pretty scratchy at best and I prefer to listen via headphones. Today the headphones stopped working!!!! and I can't figure out how to make them go again.
Your help would be much appreciated.

1193908 2011-04-15 08:43:00 Dirty or damaged switch inside headphone socket on laptop (turns off the external/laptop speakers when you plug the headphones in), if you use this socket a lot it could also be a bad/dry solder joint from this plug to the laptop motherboard (fatigue from much use). feersumendjinn (64)
