1193598 2011-04-11 07:21:00 Hi

I was wondering if there are such thing as custom built Monitor stand for LED/LCD Monitors?

You know sometimes the monitor you buy is pretty decent but the stand which it comes with let the product down.

Are there such thing as a custom monitor stand?

1193606 2011-04-11 11:27:00 I think I may have worded it wrong. I was refering to the base where the monitor slides into

I'm planning to get this LED monitor www.viewsonic.com

I think it's the base that's the problem. Was just seeing if there are other good alternative stands out there

1193607 2011-04-11 12:19:00 Doesn't matter, most monitors have the top half of the stand bolted to the back, you can easily unbolt it and attach any other kind of stand.

(they have a universal fitting)

What you aren't likely to find is an aftermarket bottom half of the stand as they are completely different between manufacturers, and usually monitors from the same manufacturer have totally different stands between models anyway.
