1158313 2010-12-02 23:57:00 Can't recall the last time I even thought of Burma (maybe when they had the disaster there a while back)...

But when I hear "Myanmar", I translate that to "Burma" anyway.

1158316 2010-12-03 02:25:00 Nope it's always been Burma to me and my Burmese friends. Growing up in England my parents neighbour had a wife from Burma and they had 3 Burmese/English daughters unfortunately all way too old for me as they are stunningly good looking gary67 (56)
1158317 2010-12-03 02:55:00 Besides anything else a "Myanmar girl" does not have the same ring to it as this:-

By the old Moulmein Pagoda, lookin' eastward to the sea,
There's a Burma girl a-settin', and I know she thinks o' me;

Rudyard Kipling.
