1157583 2010-11-30 09:52:00 Hi,

Looking at buying a Konka 24" TV from Dick Smiths. Never heard of the brand, anyone had experience with this brand? good or bad...

Many thanks

1157585 2010-11-30 18:49:00 You get what you pay for.

So long as you don't have high expectations of quality or longevity for this brand of TV, you won't be disappointed.

1157586 2010-11-30 21:02:00 I have a Konka TV and it's fine. I don't expect it to last forever but it's been a few months with no problems. Ask if you can check out the picture in-store to make sure the quality meets your expectations. Siobhan Keogh (16063)
1157587 2010-12-01 01:38:00 Automatically its rubbish JUST because its cheap & made in China :waughh:
Im sure a country with a few billion people can make a good TV & undercut the
markups of the famous name brands
:banana :banana

Now wait, arnt there also some very cheap name brand TV's also made in China
Using the same panels ???

1157590 2010-12-01 05:52:00 It's not where it might be made, it's what components were used in the manufacture. pctek (84)
1157591 2010-12-01 06:08:00 If you think things that are made in china are cheap, you'll be walking the streets naked Speedy Gonzales (78)
1157592 2010-12-01 06:50:00 Konka is quite a reputable brand, as good as any Korean brand like LG or Samsung. bk T (215)
