1194435 2011-04-14 08:30:00 Are the LED's on the nic on / doing anything? It could be the NIC. What is it connected to? A router? Speedy Gonzales (78)

1194437 2011-04-14 08:39:00 No led's on the back of the PC but the RJ45 should light up, but there is nothing so maybe a hardware fault? WayneMiddy (14028)
1194438 2011-04-14 08:43:00 Check your cable or replace a known-to-be good cable. bk T (215)
1194439 2011-04-14 08:46:00 Cable is fine using it on the Laptop.
So maybe what ever killed the HDD also killed the NIC. Mains spike??

1194443 2011-04-14 09:25:00 Speedy yes connected to a router

I am sure i have the right drivers as i downloaded them from the Compaq website
sp 26560 LAN, sp26574 ATI Chipset, sp26557 Reakteck Audio, sp26583 Keyboard Mouse, Think i am looking at a hardware fault.
