1194394 2011-04-14 02:41:00 The problem is with your port settings - I had the exact same thing last week. See attachment, these are for live / Hot mail once set works beautifully.

Also make sure in live mail you are signed in - top right in the menu bar, it will prompt you to remember the settings - Agree

uuuh, uhmm, it only says sign in, when I "sign in" it asks me to remember the password... which I already did

1194398 2011-04-14 03:51:00 After you sign in to live mail you should also get a email from MS, asking to verify the account, you have to click on the link and enter in the numbers it gives you, if you don't authenticate the account, (this is to try and stop hijacking/Spam accounts) there is usually sign in problems.

If you have got that mail, what browser are you using ?
Sometimes you have to manually log into live mail via the web site. The authentication was playing silly buggers the other day, but its fixed now.
