| 1194724 | 2011-04-15 02:17:00 | Compaq Presario SR5260AN came here because it was BSODing and Vista wanted to do a repair. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get anything out of it. No video signal, no POST beep (but it did beep with no RAM in it). No beep with Video card removed. Tried another video card (AGP) and PSU but no difference. Looked hard at mobo caps but can't see any obvious crook ones. Bty is over 3V. Is it odd that it seems not to POST yet will beep with no RAM? At a bit of a loss, now. Any ideas what to try next?? |

| 1194727 | 2011-04-15 03:36:00 | I have disconnected the HDD and still no POST/video. The HDD is currently being imaged from my main machine and Macrium didn't find any problem with its analysis. I don't have any spare DDR2 RAM but the comp in question has 2 x 512MB and 1 x 1GB and I have switched these in various combos with no change. |

| 1194728 | 2011-04-15 05:40:00 | Mmmm, unplugged my PS2 Kbd and PS2 mouse and it now runs the BIOS up! Put them back one at a time and now it starts!! Bloody computers. Anyway, it is not the mobo! Now I have to find what it came here for in the first place! Thanks for trying, Wayne and pctek. |
